Volunteer at the Abbey Medieval Festival
The Abbey Medieval Festival would not be what it is today without the generosity of our volunteer community.
Our ‘Maxime Heroica’ team get to experience the Abbey Medieval Festival behind the scenes. Dressed in costume and speaking in a Medieval-manner, our volunteers work across a variety of roles including customer service, spruiking, gates, performance reviews, festival set up just to name a few.
The 2017 Abbey Medieval Festival has been and gone, but there will be plenty of opportunity to join the team for the 2018 Festival—keep an eye out on our website, or stay updated by following us on Facebook or subscribing to our newsletter.
Current volunteer opportunities
Can’t wait until the next Festival? We often have opportunities available with the Festival Organising Committee, and at the Abbey Museum of Art and Archaeology. Visit the Abbey Museum’s website to read more about volunteering opportunities.
The Organising Committee for the event is largely made up of volunteer coordinators who are assigned a specific portfolio. These portfolio teams work year round to make the Festival happen. Opportunities to join these teams either as a coordinator, or sub-coordinator are advertised below.
