Volunteering: It’s fun! It’s rewarding! It’s an amazing experience! And we’re always looking for volunteers to join the team of over 300 people to help out during the Festival and all its affiliated events (Banquets, bump in etc).
You could be a spruiker or serve at one of the banquets or help behind the scenes. Whatever your skill, we are sure to have a role to suit you!!
Volunteer Registrations for the 2016 Abbey Medieval Festival will open in late February 2016.
Performers: Street Performers and musicians are an important part of the authentic atmosphere that we are aiming for in Abbeystowe, so if you think you’ve got something spectacular, contact the Program and Performance Coordinator and get involved.
Abbey House Troupe: The Abbey House Troupe is a group of volunteer actors of varying backgrounds and experience who work together to bring medieval drama to life at Abbeystowe. We are always looking for more players to join, if you are interested in getting involved please complete our application form.
Stallholders: We are specifically looking for people who sell medieval style items, not medieval in theme. If you’re a craftsperson or a trader and you would like to get involved and sell your wares, please complete our Craft Stallholder Application Form.
Food Vendors: While Medieval Europe and the Middle East did not have as many of the food options as we have today, there are still many tasty items that can be sold at our Festival. If you are a food vendor and would like to attend our festival please complete our Food Stallholder Application Form.
Internships: From time to time, we offer internships to those interested in gaining practical experience in an events environment. We currently have a number of vacancies in the areas of marketing, sponsorship, promotions, project management, and general events management. They are a great way to get involved. Please email firstname.lastname@example.org to express your interest or request more information.
Applications for 2018 open soon.
