Are you coming to the Abbey Medieval Festival this year? We have designed itineraries with you in mind to make your day as fun and easy as possible.

SATURDAY ITINERARY FOR TEENAGERS

Before the festival I would suggest attending The Knighting Ceremony on the eve of 7th July 2017. Time 7.30pm at The Abbey Church Caboolture.

9:30 – 10:15 Grande Parade at Castle Arena – this is a must for all visitors of the Abbey Medieval Festival, and is always full of lots of colour and pageantry.

10:15 – 10.45 Head over to the Oil Wrestling Pit and experience Ottoman Fold Dancing & Janissary Barracks.

10.45 – 11.15 Head over to the Abbey Church and enjoy our detailed Stain Glass Tour.

11.15 – 11.45 Check out the Praix at the Tavern, before heading off to enjoy some lunch.

11.45 – 12.15 Head over to the Dark Ages Encampment and enjoy a demonstration and activity of Bread making & Staraya Ladoga.

12.15 – 12.45 Head over to St Edith’s Village and indulge in Cheese making & Knights Guild Wessex Mercia.

12.45 – 1.15  Then head to Pagent Wagon and enjoy Domino the Jester’s Magical Circus Show!

1.15 – 2.30 Have a wounder around look at the stalls and markets before the 14th Century Tournament Companle Draco Routiers starts in the Castle Arena at 1.45pm.

2.30 – 3.00  After the Tournament you will be able to experience our Cannon Display Condottieri.

3.00 – 3.45 Make your way over to the Jousting Arena to enjoy a joust tournament.

3.45 – To finish off the day how about a tug of war (New England Medieval Arts Society) after that just enjoy the rest of your afternoon taking everything in.

SUNDAY ITINERARY FOR TEENAGERS

9:30 – 10:15 – Even if you watched it yesterday, catch the Grande Parade again today!

10:15 – 11.00  Head over to the Village Green and enjoy our Medieval Dance Workshop.

11.00 – 11.30  Head over to the Pagent Wagon and enjoy the evolution of Fashion.

11.30 – 12.00  Head over to the markets and stalls have a look around and enjoy and early lunch.

12.00 – 12.45  Head over to the Jousting Arena and enjoy our second Joust for the day.

12.45 – 1.15  Head over to the Dark Encampment Activities and enjoy our Viking Weapons by Saga Vikings.

1.15 – 2.00  Head over to The Castle Arena  and participate in the Archery Competition.

2.00 – 2.45  Head over to the 16th Century Early Resistance and participate in Beginner’s Fencing Course (Prima Spada).

2.45 – 3.15  Head over to St Edith’s Village and watch the Construction of a 12th Century Shoe.

3.15 – 4.00  Head over to 14th Century area of the Festival – see map for further details and enjoy a cooking demonstration (Knights of the Empire Germanica).

4.00 – Enjoy the rest of your afternoon perhaps having some afternoon tea.
