Join us for the 2022 Medieval Banquet. Tickets are Limited!

The Abbey Medieval Banquet will be hosted at the Great Hall at St Michael’s College near Caboolture on Saturday 20th August 2022.

The Steward of the Hall, Sir Blair Martin, will guide patrons through an evening of feasting and entertainment, including music, pageantry and dance.

Doors open at 5:45pm. We ask all guests to please arrive and be seated by 6:15pm for the banquet’s opening procession. On entering the Great Hall guests will experience a traditional medieval ritual of ‘washing of the hands’ with scented rosewater followed by a glass of complimentary mulled wine.

Please note: Separate bookings will not be seated together as all seating is allocated at time of booking.

Tables are served into eight guests sections with four guests per side. Platters of food are placed in the centre to be shared – the medieval bread trencher being the hero of the table. Food is eaten with knives, spoons or fingers where appropriate.

The Medieval Banquet menu consists of 2 removes (or courses), each consisting of several dishes, plus a final course called an ‘issue’. The menu will include a broad range and sumptuous quantities of authentic medieval food including dessert.

Guests can note dietary requirements when purchasing tickets. In keeping with the Medieval experience, no further accommodations can be made for dietary requirements other than those stated.

The Medieval Banquet is a licensed venue. Wine, beer, cider and mead will be available for purchase.

Please note: this is not a BYO event.

Seats will sell in a row unless you choose your own seats on the map. Please do not leave empty seats between bookings as seating is very limited and you may need to be moved to best accommodate all patrons.

Group bookings must be made in one transaction or you risk not being seating with your group. Separate bookings will not be seated together as all seating is allocated at the time of booking.

When selecting seats: There are 6 long tables (shown in blue), please ensure you select seats on either side of the blue, so that you are sitting on the same table with your group.

Accessible Seating: To book a wheelchair accessible seat, please ensure you select “Buy on Map” and select an end seat closest to the entrance. After you have purchased your tickets, please email us at events@abbeymuseum.asn.au to notify us of your accessibility requirements. We cannot provide accessible seating if you haven’t already purchased an end seat on the seating chart.

Guests are required to coordinate own transport.

Covid refunds are provided with medical certificate or confirmation of registered positive Rapid Antigen test from Queensland Health or Positive PCR.

*If cancelled within 48 hours of the event, only 50% refund is issued due to catering costs.

MENU SUBJECT TO CHANGE DUE TO PRODUCT AVAILABILITY.

Please note:

When buying multiple tickets, it is preferable to click ‘BUY ON MAP’ rather than the drop down method.

The dropdowns on the left will allocate seats in a row.

If selecting BUY ON MAP you can select seats that are opposite each other.

*Note, standard menu options apply for tickets purchased after August 16th as no further dietary catering requirements can be accommodated.

Due to the demand for ticket sales, we will not be able to accommodate any office/phone ticket sale requests.
